"Fermented and cultured foods are foods that increase the good gut bacteria in your body and they should be eaten daily by everyone for great health. Having enough beneficial gut bacteria is important on so many levels. These beneficial bacteria help fight off toxins in the body and also help to balance our hormones, produce serotonin for the brain to prevent depression, keep our immune systems working well, and give us efficient digestion. (...) eat these foods that increase your good gut bacteria so you can not only feel great, but reduce your cravings, manage your weight and avoid getting sick."
9. Apple Cider Vinegar
See the site for the list, but I eat bio probiotic plain yogurt, without sugar and especially without artificial chemical ones and others. Then I make sure that they stay alive by feeding them with vegetables. Kefir is more liquid.
Commercial pickles are just dumped in vinegar and not fermented, and there's the same problem about soy, which is toxic unless fermented properly. Looking the same isn't the same.
Apple Cider Vinegar is corrosive to teeth, so dilute it. Use bio with the "mother" enzyme, intact nutrients and chemical free. "You can also add it to homemade juices, smoothies, and you only need 1 tablespoon per day to make a difference." Instead I eat green apples at least twice a day in my salad. Apparently gut bacteria love the fiber in their skin.
Clearly if you're starving you'll feel lousy, and if you don't have a healthy gut flora you won't even be able to digest, absorb and even make vitamins.
If you eat refined grains and sugar, you'll feed and multiply the bad kind of bacteria that aren't friendly to you. If you eat greens, you'll multiply the good ones that will kill the bad ones for you and transform your food in a way that you can absorb. You feed them, they feed and protect you.
So you're not eating just for one, you eat for 100 trillions, plus your 10 trillion cells... so if all you get is processed sugar with different shapes and colors from artificial modifications, you might think that you eat, but eating more of the wrong thing won't fulfill the right needs... so you'll always be hungry... and feel depressed as if you were starving... from all the death inside you, and by promoting the life of creatures that don't have your best interest at heart. Bacteria are like lovers, give your energy and nurture what's in your best interest, and not what the people out to get you want to make you believe is, with ads and chemicals that will trick and destroy your brain... and this is a damn good reason for your brain to be very unhappy about it!
Without gut bacteria... you die. It’s a good reason to be depressed, even if your outside life seems perfect, if it didn't need any changes, you'd feel content. Sometimes all you need is to appreciate and let go of the past and future to enjoy the present... but at other times it's to completely re-learn how to live and eat. It can feel completely distressing, but it can be a fun quest to new discoveries and I can't believe how awful I used to treat myself and live, it’s a miracle that I'm still alive.
Thankfully now I promote life, not destruction... I learn to do, think, eat and rest better... even though my genes and the world seemed to be against me, but that all changed once I became my best ally, and respected my own body, needs and even friendly bacteria.
If I did it so can you. Or you can enjoy the same miserable results of poor choices for the rest of your life. Your life is up to you~
